Google Adwords Tips For Success - Avoid Google Slap
If you are using Google Adwords for PPC advertising, most likely you are aware of the recent Google Slap. I have been running few successful Adwords campaigns with minimum keyword bids (around 10 cents per click) for many months and have been enjoying some good traffic.
But last week I received my first Google Slap. All the sudden Google raised the minimum bid to $8-$10 per click. They judged my keywords and landing pages to be of poor Quality Score and punished me for it.
The whole incident forced me to relook and realign all my keywords, ads and landing pages. In this article, I will share with you some important Google Adwords tips. These tips may help you to avoid the Slap.
Here are my 3 steps Google Adwords Tips For Success...
1. Start with your landing page - before you create your Adwords campaign, write up your landing page first. Your landing page should focus on a maximum of TWO keyword phrases only. Make sure the keywords you target appear in the title, heading and sprinkle around in the body text of your page. You MUST use landing page. Do not use direct linking unless you are willing to pay for the maximum bid.
2. Only use the EXACT and PHRASE Match types for your targeted keywords.
3. When creating your Ads Text, make sure the keywords you target appear on both the ads title and descriptions.
If you follow the Google Adwords Tips above... all your ads text, keywords and landing pages should be relevant since they are all aligned. You should also have a good Quality Score for your keywords and pay the minimum bid. These are the tips I use after got slapped by Google.
